Take Your Bike on the MBTA!

Want to ride your bike to work, but maybe think your commute is a little too long?
Why not take public transportation part of the way and ride your bike from a location
that’s convenient and comfortable for you. The MBTA allows you to take your bike
on their buses and/or trains. Click this link for specifics of the MBTA bike policy.

Bail Out Bill includes Tax Free Benefits for Bike Commuters. The North Shore TMA was happy to discover that the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 (bailout) bill expands benefits for bicycle commuters, beginning in January 2009. This means that employees may receive up to $20 per month (up to $240 per calendar year) for purchasing a bicycle and for bike repairs and storage if they regularly bike to work.
