North Shore TMA 2012 Winter Promotion


Onsite Dates: Wednesday, 1/18/2012 through Friday, 2/8/2012

Details:

  • Stop by the promo table and register for NuRide/Green to Work or Guaranteed Ride Home – Get 1,000 NuRide points when you sign-up for NuRide during the day of the promotion!
  • If you are already a participant in one of these programs, simply stop by and sign our participant list!
  • Guess how much snow will fall during February 2012 at Logan International Airport.

Prize: On March 1st the names of all participants who guessed the correct snowfall amount will be entered into a raffle for a $150 AMEX gift card.

On-site Events: Check the calendar on the TMA website, posters throughout your building, or email from your Employee Transportation Advisor to see which date/time TMA staff members will be at your facility during the weeks of January 18th through February 3rd.

BONUS: Get a second chance to guess for how much snow will fall in February! Commute using an alternative to driving alone and log your commute in the NuRIDE database at least 4 times between January 18th and February 15th, then anytime on February 13, 14, or 15 email your second guess to AlMarroneTMA@yahoo.com.

NURIDE

  • "How does NuRide Work? NuRide members record their walk, bike, telework, carpool, vanpool, or public transit trips to earn points that can be redeemed for rewards from local and national sponsors. Members can also contact each other about carpooling. Click here for NuRide FAQ sheet.
  • Sign-up at on-site events! Stop by the TMA table and provide TMA staff with your name, company, and either a personal or work email address. The TMA staff will pre-register you and NuRide will contact you via email to complete your registration on-line and 1,000 NuRide points will be deposited into your account.
  • Get NuRide Points! Getting points is fast and easy! Each time you use an alternate transportation mode to commute, simply record your trip you will receive NuRide points (up to 200 points each day, including work and personal trips!).

GREEN to WORK

  • What is the GtW Program? The TMA will pay you to change your commuting habits! Sign up for our Green to Work program and change your commuting habits as little as 2 days per week for 3 months to earn FREE money. The more you leave your car at home, the more money you can earn.
  • How do I receive my incentive?After registering, download your monthly tracking calendar and log your commute each day. At the end of each month, submit your log to the TMA. After submitting your 3rd log you’ll receive your program statistics and incentive reward. Earn up to $75 during the 3-month incentive program depending on how often you commute using an alternative commute mode.
  • Can I continue GtW? Yes! A $100 random raffle prize will be awarded quarterly (January/April/July/October) to a continuing program participant. The winning name will be drawn from the names of those employees who continue to log and submit commute logs to the TMA after the initial program for 3-consecutive months prior to each quarterly drawing.

GUARANTEED RIDE HOME

  • What is the Guaranteed Ride Home Program? What if you need to leave during the day in the event of an emergency or you have to work late? The TMA offers a Guaranteed Ride Home (GRH) for those who carpool, vanpool, take public transit, or who bike or walk to work.
  • Am I eligible for GRH? Member-company employees/tenants who use public transportation, carpool, vanpool, bike, or walk to work at least two days per week may use the program. Employees must register in advance.
  • How does GRH Program work? You must receive a sign-off from your supervisor. Then contact the appropriate GRH provider (taxi for less than 10 miles, rental car for further than 10 miles.) All fees related to the GRH program are paid by the TMA!
